Gavi La Meirana
GAVI DEL COMUNE DI GAVI
For the Broglia, Gavi La Meirana is the most representative and classical of production and for this reason it carries on its label the name of the Estate: La Meirana. Production of La Meirana takes place in large stainless steel tanks which are temperature controlled. All the grapes are sourced from the municipality of Gavi and once at the Broglia cellar they are left to mature for six months in steel on their lees, in order to keep the fresh and fruity aromas intact. Fermentation occurs between 12° and 16°C with the aim of maintaining a fresh fragrance and fruitiness. Organic analysis indicates that La Meirana expresses exceptional characteristics of the area of Gavi with a typical aftertaste of almonds. Best served with fish based dishes and white meats. The palate is full-bodied, fresh with a pleasant almond-like finish.
