Vecchia Annata Broglia

GAVI DEL COMUNE DI GAVI

Vecchia Annata Broglia comes from the best vintages and the vineyards of the Tenuta La Meirana, planted between 1952 and 1953 – after a selection of the best bunches of grapes harvested by
hand and taken to the cellar in wooden boxes.
The 2010 grape harvest was characterised by regular flowering in the first ten days of June and a breezy summer with high temperature ranges between day and night.
Those particular conditions gave the wine a great structure, remarcable tastiness and intense aromas of flint and almonds. The palate is soft and well balanced, taking its lead from the aromas found on the nose it continues long and persistent to the finish.
This is how our “Vecchia Annata” comes to light after “sur lie” ageing in small steel tanks for 108 months.
